Raising funds for the RM Charity

Thank you for agreeing to take part in the Since 1664 Commando Yomp. As a member of the Corps family or merely a supporter, your efforts are greatly appreciated by the RM Charity and the ultimate beneficiaries.  To that end, the RM Charity are funding your entry fee.  They therefore ask that you engage in a little fundraising to cover that cost plus a bit more.  to that extent they ask you to accept a fundraising target of £1,000, which is the average fundraising per Yomper over the last five years.

Be assured this is a tough challenge, no serving or former Bootneck has said this is easier than any of the Commando Tests, indeed it has been said more than once that “I’d rather do all four tests back to back than this again”!  Also be aware the drop out rate is at least 50%.  But also rest assured that if a fat 50 year old former Bootneck managed it, so can you, as 95% of this challenge is in the head.
